I bought this book along Julie Gabriel's recent book, The Green Beauty Guide, and I must admit: this one is truly amazing and deserves much more attention! As a former acne sufferer, Julie is very focused on natural treatment strategies for acne-prone skin. What's really great, she offers detailed skincare plans for each group of people who may have acne: teenagers, adult women, men, people with dark and mature skin, even pregnant women! My daughter calls me from health food store for me to refer to this book before she purchases anything. My mother-in-law liked it too. ...more
[3] Rating: 4 Date: 2010-01-22 Summary: good info, terrible editing ... Gabriel has lots of good information, much of it new to me (even though I'm a rabid consumer of beauty/nutrition news). However, she is not a native English speaker and whoever was supposed to edit/proof her book did a terrible, terrible job. I found the typos and strange sentence structures distracting. It's not a problem on every page, though. ...more
